INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY 2023

Guest speaker at our IWD dinner Lindsay Sharp took us on a journey through her career in marketing.

From the early days being the only female team leader in a male dominated factory environment 

to the things that she now looks back on as small steps along the way to improve conditions and attitudes towards women especially in male dominated industries. Lindsay has obviously always been a women who could see where change was needed and identified how to do it. Lindsay has been able to use her marketing skills in the Sharp Group promoting not only their businesses Laura Park, Jack Rabbit, Flying Brick Cider and Curlewis Gold Club but the whole of the Bellarine

Fernwood Executive Paula Contelj threw out the challenge to keep fit and healthy and had us up out of our chairs. Thank yo to Fernwood Waurn Ponds for providing the 1st prize in our raffle and a guest pass for each attendee.

 

So with great music supplied by Kerry Leamon,  delicious food chocolates and wonderful company  the night was a great success. Thanks to all those who contributed 

40th Birthday Celebrations

The Zonta Club of Geelong were  excited this year to celebrate our 40th Birthday. As well as our current members many past members, including Past Presidents and members from  clubs across the State were able to join us  for afternoon tea. People had a great time catching up with old friends and looking at the memorabilia on display

Blue Illusion Fashion Afternoon

Members and friends had an enjoyable afternoon watching  spring and summer fashions being paraded whilst enjoying a glass of champagne and  horderves  

Humans in Geelong Expo    

Club members were proud to show Geelong  how we strive to make the world a better place for women and girls, both locally and internationally. Members of the public were particularly interested in  the Birthing Kit Project and the impact it has in third world countries

What a great fun night. Four great comedians entertained us with lots of laughter to be heard all night.
